Digital Film Tools – Photoshop Plug-in: Light! v3.5
I’ve finally been really pulling some of my Photoshop plugins out and learning how to use them (along with every other tutorial I can get my hands on). This pluin is the bomb! I mean – ok I took some shots last week and ddin’t realize my remote flash was swung around by the wind and had turned off target….so no “highlight” where I wanted it.
So, to play with the plugin I pulled those shots out and proceeded to use Light! v3.5 by Digital Film Tools on them. The purpose of the plugin and I quote:
“Light can be added to a scene where none existed before just as if you were adding light at the time of shooting. Realistic lighting and shadow is introduced using the entire pattern/ gobo library created by GAMPRODUCTS, INC.”
And that is exactly what this plugin does. I made a “flash” coming from the direction and angle that my original flash should have been – I was able to adjust the size, brightness, angle and a heck of a lot more options. I t was really kinda fun to play with all the options just tosee what would happen.
My next plugin I’ll be “mastering” is the Ozone v2.5 plugin also by Digital Film Tools which “
Inspired by Ansel Adams’ Zone System for still photography, Ozone allows you to manipulate the color of an image with incredible flexibility and accuracy using a Digital Zone System.” I’m excited to finally get a chance to make myself take the time to learn these and to share my results with you. Both plugins cost $50 each or you can buy bundles which could include some of their other products which I haven’t had a chance to get to play with.
