You’ll learn how to become consistant with your lighting techniques and really learn how to “POP” your subjects out of the background. I’ve had my Canon580EX flash for 3 years and have maybe used it once or twice – I didn’t know how. I have been taking all my pictures in available light and have become quit proficient at post editing in Photoshop (I come from a computer and graphics design background).

I attended the workshop in May with a wealth of photographic talent. When we first got there and Kevin gave us the 2 cents tour of his awesome loft and showed us the “posters” on the wall of his studio and told us that those were “out of the box” – we all gasped. I mean he showed us how to not only use our flash, but to also use detached lighting using pocket wizards, Vivitar 285HVs, Alien Bees and soft boxes. It was needless to say a gift from above and I am happy to report that I now have the beginnings of the basic equipment (besides my 580EX flash) so that I can reproduce what Kevin had us in the first day doing (and driving everyone nuts).
